Don’t get me wrong.
Private Label Rights (PLR) product is good as it allows you to have your own product instantly.
Personally I do use PLR ebooks and articles and have a whole bunch of them to easily create many marketing courses.
But when it comes to PLR video product, then it’s something else.
Why?
Let me narrate an experience I had previously…Last year, I made a purchase for a bunch of PLR videos package… and really I was overjoyed. Who wouldn’t? Now I have in my hands, opps computer a set of ready-made video products to sell.
I was thinking of editing the videos and have my name and url inserted…but before I did that, thought I’d better watch the videos first. You need to know what you’re going to sell, right?
And though the contents were good..but for a PLR, it’s not what I wanted. Because…(and this is the main reason I hate the PLR videos)
(1) …while doing the video recording, the guy creating it did make use of his own sites as references and use his own name to fill up registration forms, eg. on forums, article directories, etc…thus revealing who’s the man behind the video creation.
What happened when I sell the PLR product?
Literally, I’m only promoting this guy and his business, not mine. And in fact, it’ll look stupid on me to edit the product and have my name inserted as the product creator when it’s obvious who created it when anyone watch the videos.
And later on, I began to realise there’s actually no real benefit for the buyers of PLR video products… it’s suffice to just purchse the Resale Rights or Master Resale Rights to it. Why?
(2) What good can a PLR be if you can’t make it unique.
You’d want to be able to edit the contents and create a totally new-look product no one can guess derived from a PLR product, right?
Sure, you can add your name and url…but basically, that’s about all you can do. The bulk of the contents will still be the same as others who also purchased the PLR products. It’s unline PLR ebook where you can edit and rewrite the contents to create a new product that’s sure to be different from anyone else.
And also for PLR video…
(3) You can’t change the voice, can you? 
I know I can’t mimic most people’s voices. Unless you have a voice that sounds the same as the video creator, it doesn’t look right to add some stuff with your voice in it.
Yes, it can be done but sure, it’ll sound funny.
Other than that, I realise most PLR video creators doesn’t seem to have good quality contents to share..basically, it’s the same ol’ stuff like…
- how to register a domain
- how to get a webhost
- how to do a DNS
- how to…
… you’ll find this all over the place, can even get it for free on some sites.
Personally, I feel these PLR video products are really Resale Rights products disguised as a PLR… as it has a strong demand and the chance to charge a higher price for it.
I love video product but I’d rather get the product for personal use if the information is something I need…not to turn around and sell it.
Sure, I’ll promote the product if it’s good quality with helpful contents but only as an affiliate or selling it as a reseller.

Why buy PLR videos when you can have one made for you for very little cost. If your happy to let someone put their twist and creative input into your script or brief – you can get it made by covering their costs and a tiny mark up. Their lots of talent out there looking for someone to give them a project. Got to be better than showing “someone else’s Video”
